Little Red Ridding Hood.

Little Red Riding Hood
Once Upon a time,there was a little girl who lived in a village near the forest. When she went out, she always wore a red cloak. Therefore everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood. One morning Little Red Riding Hood asked her on and only mother if she could visit her old beloved grandma. "That's a great idea"her mother said . And they packed the treats and goodies. in the basket.

Remember go straight to grandmas house and don't talk to any strangers on the way.She trotted off but got distracted by some lovely flowers.She stopped to pick some up as she thought grandma will just adore them. Then she saw a big dark shadow emerging from the trees. It was a BIG FAT GIANT PIG! The pig could smell the goodies and treats from miles away. Suddenly the hung est pig popped out right beside her. 'What are you doing here" said the pig.  Well ,um I'm just delivering some treats to my grandma as she sprinted away. After hours of trudging through the forest she finally reached her distension ,Her grandmas house. Knock Knock but no-one replied.The door opened and out of nowhere she heard  Surprise! . Lots of fairy tales creatures and people were there. It was Red's Birthday. Cinderella,Snowhite and ,Sherk were there too.The giant fat pig was there as he planned the party, but he stayed in the corner scoffing down some food. They partied all day and they lived happily ever after.

Sapasui!

Last week on Thursday while the year 8's were gone to techs,8 master chiefs walked down to the kitchen.But first we all setted up the class room,it felt like we were at a restaurant.Then the boys walked down to Miss Muliaumasealii car to get the ingredients.The ingredients that we used for the Sapasui was vermicelli,soy sauce,mince 5kg,onions,oil,ginger,garlic,rice, coconut cream,frozen peas and salt.First Kitiona Raenan gently rolled the min so ce up into a circle ball.Then they put the mince slowly and steady into the pot of oil ,garlic and ginger so that the mince can have a better taste.Now it is time to put the onion into little pieces.At 12:30 room 22 waited out side the door for Miss Muliaumasealii  as we all sat down as we watched a Movie called the laughing Samoans waiting to be served by Roezala,Raenan,Moala and Alex.As the food arrived everybody was served as Miss Muliaumasealli blessed the food,after that everybody just relaxed and ate properly like they were in a restaurant.

Life Education Caravan.

“Life Education” The thing I found most interesting was making good choices, Like the choices we make have consequences, positive and negative. One thing that I learnt was that in one smoke it has 4000 chemicals. Many smokers say that the that the easiest way to give up smoking is to never start! Smoking not our future.

Basketball.

    Have you ever played basketball before? On the 26th of July it was our first basketball lesson with our instructors Shay and tai. We learnt five different techniques passing, Pivot, Jump stops and the one two dribbling. First we learnt how to jump stop. we ran to the line and jumped landing with our knees bent then we had to run back and tag our partner. Then we did One two. It was similar to the jump stop but we just had to step two times after we stopped on the line. Finally we added the ball. We did the same techniques and we learnt how to dribble. Lastly we did some passing drills meaning we either had to bounce pass, chest pass or a overhead pass to our other partner. Before we ended we had a very cool game of tag it was really fun. I was very tired after playing.

30th Olympics

Wow just one more day till the 2012 Olympic start, how “exciting”

The games of the 30th Olympian will be hosted by a international city of majesty and modernity in London. The first ever to host the game 3 times, first was in 1908 then in 1948 and now 2012. There will be different venues for different games. The tennis will be held in Wimbledon Tennis courts, while central sites will be for Archery, Road Cycling, Beach Volleyball and Triathlon. Track and field events, swimming and opening and closing ceremonies will accrue in the Olympic stadium. so that leaves us with the events that will be around the river thomes which are Boxing,Gymnastics,Wrestling and Equestrian.

The brand new Olympic stadium side of trackum filed swimming and opening and closing ceremonies is part a large development Called the olympic park.

My Favourite Place.

    Feelings, Memories, and thoughts... All these things come into my mind like a storm, as I ask myself about my favorite place. That place for me is our Point England school field. Favorite places also have a bit of a habit of getting boring after visiting them a lot or just change their appearance too often, but even though I see it everyday I never get sick of it. It a great place to meet up with friends and Whanau. The reason as to why I chose Henri Matisse is because I like the way he uses bright bold colors and simplified his drawings.

Kiwi Kick.

    On thursday Room 22 and I had the opportunity to practice new skills and drills with 2 knowledgeable tutors, whose names are Sam and Mike.
    Our First skill we learnt was a hand pass, a hand pass is when you put the ball on your left hand and hit it with your right. Then we had the opportunity to practice how to do a drop punt, a drop punt is when you try to kick the ball straight to your partner my partner was Alexandria.
     It was really fun and now, I can’t wait for next week to see what our awesome tutor have installed for us.

Tonga Time.

    Every Fridays after morning tea, team five rotates to other classes for taonga time in little groups. Taonga time is one the things we do as a team for school.
     Well last Friday the class I went into was sport with Mrs Vafusuanga for 2 hours. For sports we had to write down names of sports people.

PICASSO.

For the past few weeks our whole of team five have learnt lots about Picasso that was taught by one of our staff teachers, whose name is Mr Barks. He is the teacher in Room 18. So lets get back to the story. So, Picasso's style of art drawings is looking at different perspectives, different angles and drawings.
     He was known all over the world, and his style of painting was cubism, This highly talented Spanish painter was a sculptor as well. Mr Picasso was born in Spain in the year 1881 October the 25, Pablo Picasso was the most famous artist of the 20th century. He was Spanish and spent most of his life in France.

Vincent Van Gogh.

Vincent Van Gogh was a dutch painter that was the most famous modern artist. But in his time life he had a recognition and only sold one of his painting.
     He was born March the 30th 1853 in the land of Groot-Zundert in the Southern area Netherland. When he was 16 years He was born on March the 30,1853 and his birthplace was Groot-zundert,near Breda lands. Once Vincent Van Gogh had died by a gunshot his sister in law had took his place and sold all of his paintings and then van gogh had become famous after his death.

How to set up a tent.

How to set up a tent.

You will need/Equipment …
*Tent
*Tent Fly
*Mallet
*Peg
*Team group
*Two or more people
*Poles
*Guy ropes

step 1: Find a dry flat surface to lay your tent down .
step 2: Then gather all the equipment that you will need.
step 3: Now unwrap the tent and taut it flat onto the ground.
step 4: Next you grab out your poles and pegs.
step 5: So now we peg the bases with a mallet but make sure you put the pegs on an 45 angle or else it will easily fly away when sleeping in it.
step 6:Pull up the tent and Connect the poles together . Connect it at the bottom on the bases.
step 7: Now clip up the clippers on each sides.
Step 8: Put the fly on proplerly so the rain wont come through .
Step 9: Check your tent and if something is wrong fix it up.

Camp Highlights.

WOW!!! I thought The best experience of camp today was being able to travel together as a team to complete the set of instructions given to us by, Mrs Lagitupu and Mr Barks. The activity was called The Amazing Race. It was about a groups of 5 or more traveling to different places to earn a lot of points for our team,Team Respect Crew
We also had another activity called box fit. It was mainly about boxing learning the basics like Left Hook, Right Hook and Uppercut. Our instructors were really supportive correcting our mistakes and also being really positive and making it a really fun thing to do.
I actually thought that the old school games were really really cool, It was like every game we played had a certain meaning towards everything you did during it. Our Leaders Lepa-Toreka are very positive they stick with us even if we win or loose and they encourage us to do our best.

the book Chinease Cinderella

For the past few days I have been reading the book Chinease Cinderella, an autobiography by Adeline Yen Mah . I have been given the task to write important reasons why I dislike Adelines stepmother ( Niang ) . I am currently on chapter 11 but as I have been previously reading chapter 7 , 8 and 9 I have noticed that Niang is a very twisted evil person .

Firstly Niang has two biological children , a son which is her oldsest and a daughter which is obviously her youngest . Niangs daughter was only 6 months when she separated from her mother . For the time being Aunt Baba cared&loved Niangs daughter as if it was her own . Niang and her baby daughter reunited when she was two years old . Clearly at that time when Niangs daughter saw her mother she looked at her as if she was a complete stranger . The first time Niang signalled her daugher to go to her , she ignored her and looked away . Niang was furious and as soon as she picked up her two year old daughter she started screaming , crying not wanting to be in Niangs arms . At this stage Niang was fillled with rage , she then started beating her daughter continously . Niang was feeling rejected and angry beacsue her own daughter didnt recongnise her . As she continued punishing her two year old daughter Adline felt sick watching Niang in action and her step sister in pain . Adeline yelled at Niang to stop her from beating her child to death . Niangs daughter was just a baby and she was suffering consequences which she didnt deseve .
Since that day Niang has always mistreated Adeline, she felt disrespected and told Adeline said that she would never forgiver her.

Back then Adline and her 4 older siblings attended an expensive missonary school . St Johns academy was a long mile away . Niang and Adelinde father was trying to teach the kids the value of money . They were both strict on not giving tram fare money to any of the children . Of course Niang was a unfair cold hearted woman she excluded Adeline from the rest of her siblings . She started giving out tram fare money to the others except for Adeline . As days went by Adeline continuously walked the long mile to school feeling hurt and mistreated while her siblings enjoy the relaxing ride to school and back.

The rest of the time when Niang wasnt only mistreating just Adeline herself she was also being unfair to the rest of her older siblings . She favoured her two children over her step kids . For instance Niangs chidren are able to order any kinds of delicious foods throughout the entire day while her stepchildren will eat minimal foods a day with ocassional fruits as an amazing treat . Adelines 3 older brothers were forced to shaved there heads when there little brother (Niangs son) could wake up in the moring with all his hair on his head .
How unfair is that.

Anyways Lastly these 3 paragraphs says it all . Niang was a coldhearted , twisted , unfair malicious woman . Imagine having a stepmother like her , how would you feel ?

Jelly Beans.

When I first looked at the jelly bean I it looked like a little brain.But when I took a little bite I was amazed that I was wrong, It tasted like a bowl of fruit salad mixed with coco-nut. Also they were more better than the original jelly beans the old one where yuck that why I stopped eating jelly beans, but now thing are different.

Netball Skills.

With great anticipation Room 22 and I went out on to our school court to play netball. For the past few weeks, our class has been learning how to play Netball. We have been training with a skilled netball tutor named Liz. Liz is a really talented person and has been trying to hone our skills.
We have been learning passing skills and also Balancing skills. Before we actually played a real game of netball, we spent weeks practicing new and exciting techniques. After practicing how to play netball on the second week with Liz. We all enjoyed ourselves!
Netball was extremely awesome, even if the boys contacted and stepped with the ball. Our class really enjoyed being with Liz. We had an awesome time!
